About Rosita Steenbeek
 
ROSITA STEENBEEK studied Theology and Classics at Utrecht University before completing a Phd in Modern Languages at Amsterdam University. She worked as an actress in theatre and cinema. After her studies she moved to Rome. She wrote articles for several newspapers, translated books of Alberto Moravia and Susanna Tamaro. Her first novel was published in 1994 in which we can recognize her intimate friends Alberto Moravia and Federico Fellini. She wrote seven novels and two books about Rome and reached a broad readership in the Netherlands.
